Verdict
The plusOne bullet is a sensible, low-cost first vibrator. It's silicone, fully waterproof, rechargeable and easy to buy in big-box stores. It's external-only and has a single button, so it's a starter toy rather than a long-term favourite for anyone who wants power or variety.
Who it's for
Choose this if…
First-time buyers, travel and shower use, and anyone who wants a vibrator from a regular store.
Skip this if…
You want internal use, app control, or stronger, rumblier vibration than a small bullet motor gives.
The plusOne vibrating bullet is a good first vibrator for very little money. It’s a small silicone bullet, about 3.1 in long, with 10 settings on one button. plusOne says it’s fully waterproof, charges in about 70–90 minutes and runs for up to two hours. It’s sold at mainstream retailers as well as online, which makes it one of the easiest vibrators to buy discreetly. The limits are its size and its rules: the manual says it’s for external use only, and a small bullet motor won’t satisfy anyone who wants deep, rumbly power.
How we reviewed it
This is a research-based review, based on plusOne’s product pages and printed manual. We haven’t handled the product for this update. An earlier version included first-person session descriptions, a star rating and customer quotes we couldn’t verify, so we’ve removed them. We’ve also corrected two errors: that version said the bullet could be used for shallow internal play and that it had an app, and neither is supported by the manufacturer.

What it does well
It’s simple. One button turns it on (hold for three seconds) and cycles through the settings. There’s nothing to pair or learn.
It’s waterproof. Submersible toys are easy to clean and work in the shower or bath.
It’s easy to buy. It’s sold at mainstream stores and online, so you don’t need a specialist shop.
It’s small and discreet. A lipstick-sized bullet fits in a bag and doesn’t look much like a sex toy.
It’s versatile externally. Use the tip for pinpoint stimulation or the side for broader contact. You can also hold it between partners during sex.
Where it falls short
It’s external only. Don’t use it internally: it has no flared base or cord to retrieve it.
It isn’t very powerful. Small bullet motors tend to feel buzzy rather than deep. If you already know you prefer strong vibration, a compact wand is a better buy.
It has one button. You have to cycle through every setting to get back to the one you want.
The pin charger. The cable uses a small pin that needs a firm push into a rubber-covered port. It’s easy to lose, and plusOne says to use only its own charger.
How to use and care for it
- Hold the button for three seconds to turn it on, press to change settings, and hold to turn it off.
- Use water-based lube only.
- Wash it with warm water and mild soap before and after each use.
- Store it separately from other toys. plusOne notes that different materials can damage each other.
- Don’t use it while it’s charging.

The verdict
The plusOne bullet is an inexpensive, waterproof, easy-to-find starter vibrator, and that’s what it does best. Buy it as a first toy or a travel toy, use it externally only, and expect to upgrade if you want more power or variety.
Frequently asked questions
Can the plusOne bullet be used internally?
No. The manual says it's for external use only and shouldn't be inserted. It has no flared base or retrieval cord, so don't use it vaginally or anally. For internal play, choose a toy designed for insertion.
Is the plusOne bullet waterproof?
Yes. plusOne describes it as 100% waterproof and fully submersible, so you can use it in the bath or shower. Keep the charging port dry when charging, and don't turn it on while it's charging.
How long does the plusOne bullet battery last?
plusOne lists a full charge in about 70 to 90 minutes and up to 120 minutes of use. Real run time drops at higher settings.
What lube can I use with the plusOne bullet?
The manual says to use water-based lubricant only. Silicone lube can degrade silicone toys.
Does the plusOne bullet have an app?
No. It has one button that cycles through 10 settings. An earlier version of this page said you could add patterns through an app; we couldn't confirm that, and the manufacturer doesn't list one.
